Friday Color Wheel - Five Things... Red

A new month and with it comes a new edition of the Friday Color Wheel. In the past, this feature was used to showcase my favorite finds from the Carolinas. I always love creating these posts, but I want to expand this series a bit. Many of you are reading this blog from other states and other countries. Which is really amazing - thanks for being here! Going forward, I’ve decided to use the Color Wheel series to feature my favorite finds from small businesses everywhere.

Kicking off the expanded version of the Friday Color Wheel and this this month’s roundup is RED. From vibrant, fire-engine red to muted ruby red, these finds are the perfect for February. All products are linked so if you feel like showing some small biz love, click the links to visit each shop on Etsy.

Sugar Whipped Soap Scrub

These adorable sugar scrubs are by Truly Charming Soapery in East Brunswick, New Jersey. I love the red BE MINE soap heart on the top of these scrubs and the subtle red jojoba beads sprinkled throughout. They’re made with sweet almond and avocado oils and smell like sugared berries, whipped cream and cotton candy. YUM! Sugar scrubs smell amazing, work wonderfully to exfoliate your skin and just make really great gifts all year round.

Red Paper Flowers

These paper flowers are by Indelicia Creations in Patterson, California. Their flowers come in a variety of colors, styles and sizes. Paper flowers can be used to decorate craft projects like shadow boxes, gift boxes, centerpieces and costumes. These assorted red flowers would be a fun way to decorate for Valentine’s Day by taping them to your walls. Just use a wall-safe adhesive!

Ruby Necklace

This lab ruby pendant necklace is by London Lacey in Charleston, South Carolina. This dainty necklace is perfect for everyday wear or getting dressed up for night out! I tend to prefer minimalist style when it comes to choosing jewelry and this necklace fits the bill. In fact, London Lacey has many simple, yet beautiful pieces in their collection worth checking out.

Red Velvet Cake Truffles

These sweet cake truffles are by Sugarpop Bakeshop in Canton, Georgia. Red velvet cake is my absolute favorite cake flavor and these little minis look amazing. Cake truffles are really great for hosting since you can pop them on a platter and not have to mess with cutting up the dessert. They would also make really cute party favors for larger events!

Rose Jewelry Box

This jewelry box is by Naomi Jewels Boutique in Napa, California. These boxes feature a REAL preserved rose and come in red, pink, purple and evil eye (which is like a blue ombre). I love the fact that it’s a real rose on the top, and each box comes with a clear acrylic cover to help preserve it even longer. These boxes would also be great for wedding and anniversaries. And if you wanted to personalize the cover, I wrote a detailed post on how to write on acrylic which you can view here.
