Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe by Raleigh Calligraphy & Design

Does the thought of fall make you think of everything pumpkin spice? Me, too. Especially when it comes to coffee. Most of the year, I drink my hot coffee with just milk or cream. BUT in the fall, I get really excited about the appearance of the pumpkin spice lattes that pop up at coffee shops all around Raleigh. Those sweet lattes are one of my favorite fall treats! But since I no longer run this little business out of a coffee shop, I tend to brew most of my coffee at home.

Enter the homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe! If you like a good pumpkin latte from a coffee shop, you’ll love this one as its just as creamy and full of pumpkin flavor. I use vanilla bean paste for this recipe so if you don’t have it on hand you can try swapping it out for vanilla extract. But I’m pretty convinced it’s the magic ingredient that pulls the whole latte together.

This recipe is tried and true. And by tried I mean, it took me 6 attempts to get the recipe just right… I drank a lot of mediocre lattes in search for the perfect pumpkin spice latte. And mediocre lattes in a cute cup are, well, still mediocre but at least the cup is adorable!

This rose gold mug is quickly becoming my go-to latte cup. It’s so large it nearly fits both servings from this recipe. And since my darling husband isn’t big on pumpkin flavored anything, I find myself drinking his share, too… from this mug. Daily.

The sweet people over at Bridesmaid Gifts Boutique sent me this mug and personalized it with “Raleigh”. I love that it doesn’t leak and the cover easily slips on and off. Designed as a portable stemless wine glass, it’s no wonder the base is too wide to fit in my car cupholder. It is, however, perfect for sipping warm drinks outside as the munchkins jump in leaf piles all afternoon.
